Description:
SDI was responsible for the foundation design in addition to the precast wall panel design for this building. The building is a over 43,000 ft2 and is approximatly 320 ft. long. The precast wall panels were cast in a precast fabrication yard and shipped to site.
Although not purly tilt-up it has many advatanges of a tilt-up structure including the ability to support the roof structure by the panels. In addition, it has advantages over a tilt-up structure in that panel fabrication occurs in a controlled environment (fabrication yard) as opposed to on site on the floor slab.
